Perfect 40th Birthday Getaway
We stayed at the Butterfly Pods to celebrate my sister’s 40th birthday with our two families and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much intention and care went into every detail. The pods are beautifully designed. Modern, warm, and thoughtfully curated, while also feeling peaceful and connected to nature, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Even in the winter, when we expected to feel a bit limited, the space itself became the experience. It was the perfect quiet escape. The pods were surprisingly spacious, and our group slept comfortably. We especially loved cooking a full meal together and sharing such a meaningful moment in such a beautiful setting. Also, everything from check-in to instructions was seamless and well thought out, easy, clear, and not overwhelming. We truly can’t think of a single thing that could have been better. It was a flawless, memorable stay, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Mother - Son Fishing Getaway
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Butterfly Pods exceeded every expectation for our weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived it was clear this place is something special. The off-grid experience felt like a genuine retreat from the everyday, peaceful, unhurried, and completely immersive in nature. The fire pit became the heart of our evenings, perfect for winding down, roasting marshmallows, and just being present with the people you love. The stocked lake and kayaks were a total hit, especially for our 3 teenage boys. My son caught over 14 fish over the weekend and was absolutely beaming the entire time. Watching him light up with every single catch is a memory our family will treasure. The kayaks were a wonderful bonus too — we paddled around, explored, and took in the most beautiful surroundings. The setting itself is breathtaking and well-maintained. You can tell the owners genuinely care about the experience they’re creating here. If you’re looking for a fun, rejuvenating off-grid weekend with family or friends, Butterfly Pods delivers in every way. Highly recommend! 🌿🔥🛶

A great way to reconnect with friends!
We had an awesome stay with our family of 4 (2 boys, 7 & 10) and our friends' with their kids (11 & 9). The pool was perfect, we all had fun in kayaks and paddleboards, plenty of room to stretch out and relax outside, great kitchen to work in, comfortable sleeping. The kids even fired up the hot tub and had fun soaking. The fire pit was the perfect ending to the night. The hosts were so kind, thoughtful, and easy to contact with any questions or concerns. Any issues were quickly resolved. Would stay again, such a thoughtful layout, it's really perfect for a small group or two families like ours. The kids keep talking about it and can't wait to return.

Milestone Birthday Celebration
We really enjoyed our stay at the Butterfly Pods. The property is beautiful! Lots of amenities: firepit, wood-fired hot tub, watercraft, lake access, bike routes. It was clear that the pods were thoughtfully designed to use every inch very efficiently. The appointments were top notch (mattresses incredibly comfortable!). However, the fourth sleeping area is not really big enough for two adults, as it contained a full sized bed and very narrow sleeping loft, more suitable for kids. Otherwise, it was great way to decompress and relax. Loved it!

We’re thrilled you enjoyed the mattresses, and we really appreciate the note on the full bed. We did explore fitting a queen, but it would have compromised the loft access and overall layout -one of those tiny house trade-offs. The full bed is the best fit for the space as designed, though we understand it can feel snug for some guests, and your feedback is helpful for others when deciding if the setup is the right fit for their stay.
Family Getaway with Kids and Grandparents
Upon stumbling on Butterfly Pods through social media, our family was excited to book a stay over Spring Break. We wanted to learn more about life in a small space and off-grid living. Michelle was extremely helpful in providing information and accomodating our needs. Everyone in our multi-generational family thoroughly enjoyed our time. We relaxed, found peace and enjoyed our time together in a serene setting. The pods easily accomodated our family of six with four adults and two kids. Beautiful memories were made in this uniquely tranquil and happy setting.

Beautiful relaxing getaway
The Butterfly Pods provide a relaxing and peaceful getaway when you can’t get too far away from KC. The pods are designed in a way that is so cohesive with the natural surroundings. We felt safe and secure on the property. The focus on sustainability was a bonus. They have carefully curated booked and games for all ages. Our time there as a family was exactly what we needed.

Romantic Weekend Get-Away
The Butterfly Pods were the perfect weekend getaway for me and my husband. Our schedules get especially busy after in the spring, so taking a weekend to unplug before another hectic season was exactly what we needed to recharge. The property is truly unique for the area, blending a modern, elevated design into a more rustic setting. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated, and the space is both cozy and elegant. It was so easy to settle into. We loved taking walks around the property, kayaking on the pond, cooking dinner over the fire, relaxing in the hot tub, and taking naps in the built-in hammocks. The property has so to offer and what made it really stand out was how intentional and unique each feature felt. Every detail added to our overall experience and made our stay feel both relaxing and memorable. The host was fantastic with great communication throughout our stay. We’re already looking forward to coming back.
It's the best when couples visit to have a little getaway time at the pods! Just wanted to point out this was a Sunday-Tuesday stay - given our weekends book up so quickly we love it when guests are able to carve out time during the week to visit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Perfect Cozy Experience
We had a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The pods have the coziest vibe, perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and the hot tub was also amazing and unique. The space was thoughtfully put together, making it easy to settle in. Our host was also incredibly responsive and helpful. This is a wonderful place to recharge. Would definitely stay again, as well as recommend to my family and friends.

50th birthday fun at this true oasis
We had an absolute blast. I truly love the oasis you’ve created and I wanted to move in the moment we arrived. ❤️ I felt instantly connected to the vibe: one with nature, respecting and embracing it in every way. Clean, simple, sophisticated taste. The games and books are all things we play and love in our own home, and your passion for biking and design was evident everywhere. It felt like such a thoughtful, forward-thinking escape from the false sense of urgency that so often comes with corporate life. My friends absolutely nailed every detail by bringing me to your place to celebrate my 50th, it aligned perfectly with everything I’m passionate about. We mahj’d, chatted, lounged, ate, drank, and truly relaxed every second we were there. I was so inspired by what you’ve created and felt genuinely connected to it. Thank you!

Romantic escape
My girlfriend has been wanting to stay at the Butterfly Pods since it launched so I booked it as an early Valentine's surprise. It absolutely lived up to the hype. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the hot tub, taking long walks around the property, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Even though the property is spacious, it didn’t feel too big for the two of us at all. The privacy was incredible and made it easy to fully unwind. It ended up being the perfect getaway for us and we’d absolutely love to come back.
