The Butterfly Pods

Welcome to the Butterfly Pods, where eco-conscious living meets modern comfort in our PASSIVHAUS-standard cabins. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the nature while enjoying all the comforts of home. Spend your days lounging in a hammock, soaking in the hot tub, swimming in the pool, kayaking on the lake, and gathering around a fire.

BEDROOMS + BATHROOMS

The property comfortably sleeps 8 adults and 1 child or teen between four bedrooms. The two pods are rented together. The main pod has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a full bed and a loft bunk bed (suitable for a child a teen up to 120lbs). The Annex pod includes two queen bedrooms, each with a compact en-suite. 

Imagine sipping your morning coffee in bed, gazing through towering 10-ft high custom quadrilateral windows, where nature surrounds you and sometimes deer gently wander by. All bedrooms are designed for ultimate comfort, with five-star hotel-quality Helix mattresses and luxurious linens that make every moment feel like a retreat.

KITCHEN + DINING

The main cabin features an open-concept kitchen and dining area, highlighted by slanted ceilings and views of the surrounding forest and lake. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances, cookware, dishes, utensils.

The granite island seats four, and the tulip dining table offers seating for four more, making it easy to host group meals in comfort and style.

LOUNGE SPACES

The main cabin’s living area is cozy and inviting, centered around a wood-burning stove that enhances the off-grid ambiance. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and offer sweeping views of the forest and lake. Relax into plush seating, warm up by the fire, or watch a movie on the frame TV.

In the Annex cabin, you’ll find a more intimate lounge with a leather daybed, a smaller bar area, and casual seating around a tulip table. It’s the perfect space for a quiet morning coffee, an evening drink, or a relaxed conversation.

OUTDOOR SPACES

The outdoor areas at the Butterfly Pods are designed to immerse you in nature while offering plenty of room for relaxation and fun. Wrap-around decks on both cabins provide multiple spots to enjoy the view. Lounge in built-in hammocks, sip coffee, or enjoy a drink at sunset, all from your perch above the forest and lake.

Unwind in the solar-heated seasonal pool or soak in the wood-fired hot tub under the stars. The private fishing dock is perfect for casting a line or simply enjoying the serene lake view. For an adventure, take out one of the kayaks or the paddle board and float through calm waters surrounded by trees and birdsong.

As evening falls, the fire pit becomes a gathering spot, surrounded by eight Adirondack chairs. Roast marshmallows, share stories, or just stargaze by the flickering flames. An outdoor dining area, complete with a lounge set, dining table, and Weber charcoal grill, makes it easy to enjoy meals al fresco. Enjoy breakfast in the sun or a long dinner with friends and family as the evening winds down.

We’re fully off-grid and monitor systems remotely to ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll find helpful details in the Welcome Guide about how it all works, but if anything needs attention, we’ll likely catch it before you even notice. We provide two cellphone numbers and are very quick to respond if you have any questions or concerns.
